Sagem, a provider of wireless and wired data communications systems for professional use, has expanded its portfolio to include network and digital trunked radio products in cooperation with LanTec Systems in Paraguay.

Professional Mobile Radio (PMR)

In the area of PMR, Sagem has expanded its product portfolio by adding a new generation of mobile terminal devices for railway companies (GSM-R) and GSM-G (GSM-based operational radio). The focus is on the innovative products TIGR 350R and TiGR 350G that support functions such as ASCI (group calling and broadcasting) and-in contrast to the previous model-now also GPS. The new hand-held devices are "ruggedized", meaning they are especially suited for use in the field (safety class IP 54) and are equipped with a watchdog circuit.
