As a network cabling specialist and Installer, you are responsible for the installation and maintenance of low voltage communication distribution systems or other signal sources to the terminal or equipment at the end of the systems. These systems comprise the physical architecture that supports voice, video and data transmissions within industrial, commercial, institutional and office complexes.

You won't just be taught from a book... you'll be performing all of the "hands on" skills needed to work as a Certified Professional in one of the fastest growing fields in the world: Data Cabling Installation.

A network cabling specialist also performs some or all of the following: consults, interprets and verifies work orders, specifications, drawings, schematics and special requirements. Performs site inspections; assembles and sets up all tools, materials and equipment; creates cable pathways; installs cable supports; prepares cables for installation; installs, cross-connects and terminates Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP), Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) and fibre optics cable; performs systems grounding; performs testing and certification of cable installation; performs job reviews; and troubleshoots the installed system.

With satisfactory achievement, the student will receive their corresponding DVS Network Cabling Certification certificate.
